Especially when balancing family responsibilities and health concerns. For our family, finding the Vibrant Aging Community Center in Winneba was truly a blessing.
My father had lived in the United Kingdom for over 37 years with his wife and children. After retirement, my parents decided to relocate to Ghana. Sadly, shortly after their return, my mother passed away, leaving my father’s care to the family. As his health began to decline, I made the decision to move back to Ghana with my children to support him. However, with the demands of raising a young family and expecting another child, it became increasingly challenging to provide him with the level of care and attention he needed.
I began searching for a suitable care facility and came across two options—one in Accra and one in Winneba. My initial call to the Accra facility left me discouraged due to the lack of warmth and professionalism I experienced. I knew immediately that I could not entrust my father to a place where compassion did not seem evident from the very first interaction.
When I contacted the Vibrant Aging Community Center, my experience was completely different. The team was welcoming, patient, and genuinely attentive. What stood out most was the virtual tour they offered. Taking the time to walk me through the facility and answer my questions gave me confidence that my father would be treated with dignity, respect, and care.

I believe there is a great need for services like this in Ghana, and I am honestly surprised that more facilities like Vibrant Aging Community Center are not yet widely available. The level of care, professionalism, and intentionality I experienced reassured me that I had made the right choice for my father.
I am deeply grateful for the peace of mind this has given me, and I am committed to sharing this experience with family and friends, both in Ghana and in the United Kingdom, so that others can benefit from the exceptional care provided here.
